Payment Options at Gippsland Pet Emergency

  1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients’ needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill.
  2. We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) cheques and cash.
  3. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expenses strikes as well. Gippsland Pet Emergency understands this and do all we can to make quality veterinary care available to everyone. That is why we offer Afterpay, VetPay and Zip Pay payment plans. They offer fast application and reusable credit.
  4. You can also pay online by using our online payment portal below.

How does Afterpay work?

We pay the retailer in full and upfront on your behalf. You pay for the first instalment of approx. 25% at the time of purchase, and the remaining three instalments will be automatically deducted from your nominated debit or credit card over the following six weeks.

What is VetPay?

VetPay is a payment plan that lets you pay for your pets treatment over time, you pay your vet an initial deposit, and we direct debit the balance in fortnightly repayments from your nominated bank account.

How does Zip Pay work?

It’s easy! Every time you make a purchase we simply add it to your account. Then at the beginning of the month, we send you a summary (called a “statement”) of what you spent and what you paid in the month. You can then pay it back in full at the end of the month or pay over time from as little as $40 a month, interest free.

What is an emergency?

A pet emergency is any sudden and severe health issue that requires immediate veterinary attention to prevent serious harm or death. Common emergencies include difficulty breathing, seizures, trauma from accidents, poisoning, or severe pain.

If your pet shows signs of distress, rapid medical intervention is often necessary to stabilise their condition and prevent further complications.

What is NOT an emergency?
Non-emergencies for pets include routine care such as vaccinations, grooming, and annual check-ups. These services are important for maintaining your pet's health but don't require immediate attention. Issues like mild skin irritations, slight limping without pain, or occasional vomiting may also be monitored at home before scheduling a regular vet visit.
